Upon These Rocks…

Apologies for the dearth of content recently: just returned from a 13-day visit to the Holy Land, that geographic area of rocky terrain and desert between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea, to which adherents of the three Abrahamic faiths–Christianity, Judaism, and Islam–make pilgrimages.

Whether one praysat the Holy Sepulchre, The Western Wall, or Temple Mount, the experience at these edifices with their revered stone markers can be life changing. Our tour literally helped us walk through the Bible: from Bethlehem, to Nazareth, the Sea of Galilee, the Jordan River, the Mt. of Olives, Mt. Nebo in Jordan where Moses passed away, the Dead Sea, and beyond. Most of these holy Christian locations have a church commemorating the appropriate miracle or event where we were able to give praise to the Lord.

The tour ended in Jordan at Petra, a UNESCO World Heritage site, also considered as one of the new Seven Wonders of the World.
