Planting the Seeds for “Une” Upset

Rafael Nadal may have won a match in the French Open on his 27th birthday Sunday, June 2nd, and now has to face Tommy Haas of Germany, who at 35, is the oldest French Open men’s quarter-finalist since 1971.

But perhaps the most interesting story at the Grand Slam clay court event in Paris may be about Tommy Robredo, whose age of 31 just about matches where he is seeded in the tournament: 32nd and has also reached the quarter finals.

Chances of Robredo even meeting fellow Spaniard, Nadal, let alone upsetting and beating him, in the finals next weekend are slim and none, and “Slim” just left town.
Some celebrities who haven’t left Paris yet and whom paparazzi discovered seated at the Open, included: actors, Leonardo DiCaprio, Lukas Haas (no relation to Tommy) and Forest Whitaker, super model, Natalia Vodianova, former Miss France, Sylvie Tellier, and former tennis stars, Jim Courier and Henri Leconte.
You can probably be assured none of the above settled for being seated in the cheap seats, either.
